GOVERNMENT NORMS

32 rooms are required which includes classrooms, staff room, principal room, administration, library and laboratory.

In the process of developing Noor Inter College/Degree College, the SEWA established a Primary School in 2013 with 60 children. A Junior High School was started in 2014. A High School and an Inter College are proposed to be setup by 2015-16. Further, a Degree College is also proposed to be set up by 2018. As per the core objective of SEWA, Noor Inter/Degree College has been envisioned as a non-profit institution.

The purpose of establishing a school in Gainsari Bazar of District Balrampur (which is educationally the most backward Block in the district) is to impart quality education and improve the learning capability among Muslims and other disadvantaged communities. At present, educational needs of Muslims and other disadvantaged communities are being catered through government schools, private schools and Madrasad. In many instances, the learning outcome in government schools and Madrasas are found to be very poor. Madrasas do not have the capacity to offer the modern subjects (English, Mathematics, and Sciences etc). Whereas the government schools and private schools do not teach the subjects like Urdu and Deeniyat which are essentially required for Muslim students.

To construct the premised of Noor Inter/Degree College, a plot of land of about one acre has been acquired under SEWA. For an Inter College, as per government norms, 32 rooms are required which include classrooms, staff room, principal room, administration, library and laboratory. As of now, 12 classrooms along with one laboratory have been constructed. The following table gives an estimate of the costs involved in the project.
